Photocatalytic Degradation of PFOA with Porous Lanthanoid Perovskites Nano Catalyst

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 98, Issue 1-2, Page 7-17, February 2026.
Photocatalytic degradation of PFOA was studied using nickel‐ and lanthanide‐doped perovskites under UV–VIS irradiation. Catalyst characterization confirmed successful doping, with Ni/NdMnO3 showing the highest photocatalytic efficiency. Degradation occurred via C–C bond cleavage, forming transformation products PFHpA and PFHxA.

Homoleptic Bismuth Alkynes: Isolable Reagents for Selective Alkynyl Radical Transfer

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 4, 22 January 2026.
The first series of fully characterized homoleptic alkynyl bismuth compounds Bi(C≡CR)3 is presented. Facile homolytic Bi–C bond cleavage grants access to alkynyl radicals, which have been employed in selective C–X bond formation (X = C, B, Se, Te). This complements existing strategies for alkynyl radical generation as it proceeds under mild and purely ...

An In Situ ATR‐FTIR Electrochemical Cell for the Study of Battery Processes: Design, Implementation, and Data Analysis

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 2, February 2026.
Phenomena occurring in the electrolyte as well as the interfaces with the electrodes, such as Li+ solvation/desolvation and solid–electrolyte interphase formation, govern the performance and safety of Li‐ion batteries. In this article, a dedicated, spring‐loaded operando attenuated‐total‐reflectance Fourier‐transform infrared cell is presented ...
