Ferroelectric Rashba semiconductors promise ultralow‐power devices but lack industry‐quality films. This work demonstrates CMOS‐compatible fabrication of high‐quality α‐GeTe(111) films via magnetron sputtering, enabled by a 5 nm Sb2Te3 seed layer. Structural and ferroelectric analyses show robust, switchable polarization comparable to MBE films, paving

Soft x-ray magnetic circular dichroism study of Cr tellurides [PDF]
Ferromagnetic chromium tellurides Cr5 Te6 (δ=0.17) and Cr2 Te3 (δ=0.33) have been investigated by Cr 2p x-ray absorption spectroscopy and x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD).

conductivity switching in topological tellurides under pressure [PDF]
Under applied high pressure, the electronic, optical, structural, and other properties of narrow-bandgap telluride semiconductors are subjected to dramatic changes. They can include, for instance, structural and electronic topological transitions.

A multifunctional tantalum incorporation strategy enables simultaneous tuning of carrier concentration, mitigation of grain‐boundary scattering, and enhanced phonon scattering in Mg3(Sb,Bi)2. These synergistic effects markedly improve carrier mobility and suppress lattice thermal conductivity, yielding both high material zT and high module conversion ...

Improved Magnetoresistance of Tungsten Telluride and Silver Telluride Composites
AbstractTungsten telluride (WTe2) and silver telluride (Ag2Te) are recently developed magnetoresistive materials, and bulk composites of these materials would be extremely advantageous in improving the magnetoresistance characteristics of the individual components and expanding their applications.

Bulk FePd2Te2 contains sparse interlayer Pd–Te covalent bonds, giving it unexpectedly low exfoliation energy and enabling van der Waals‐like exfoliation. Cleaving these bonds during exfoliation makes the monolayer magnetically distinct from the bulk: magnetic anisotropy energy increases, and the strain‐response coefficient of the magnetic moment ...

Enhanced Formation of Dicarboxylic Acids in the Catalytic Oxidation of Polyethylene With O2 and NOx
The oxidation of polyethylene in the presence of a mixture of O2 and NOx and with Cu2+/V5+ as catalyst yields ∼51 mol% diacids, while retaining ∼80 mol% of the carbon in the oil fraction. The developed method is robust and tolerates several polymer types as well as impurities.

MINERALOGY AND ORE FORMATION CONDITIONS OF THE NAILY GOLD DEPOSIT (SOUTH URALS) [PDF]
The paper examines mineralogy of noble metals and ore formation conditions at the Naily gold deposit (South Urals), which is hosted in pyrite-bearing talc-carbonate, chlorite-quartz-carbonate and quartz-carbonate metasomatites after serpentinites and ...
