Analytical Modeling of the Temperature Sensitivity of the Maximum Power Point of Solar Cells
Abstract—This article presents new analytical expressions for the temperature coefficients of the voltage, current, and power of a solar cell at its maximum power point MPP). A new analytical expression of the temperature coefficient of the fill factor is also derived.

We propose a highly sensitive temperature sensor based on long period grating inscribed high index coated ridge waveguide in which the unique feature of mode transition (MT) phenomenon combined with the high thermo optic coefficient (TOC) polymer ambient elevates the differential thermal dependence between the participating modes.

Background Quantitative bacterial culture (QBC) is the gold standard for diagnosing canine urinary tract infection. Current guidelines recommend QBC within 24 h of urine collection and that unpreserved urine is refrigerated until culture.

The thermal error of CNC machine tools can be reduced by compensation, where a thermal error model is required to provide compensation values. The thermal error model adaptive update method can correct the thermal error model by supplementing new data, which fundamentally solves the problem of model robustness.

Axillary temperature measurements based on smart wearable thermometers in South Korean children: comparison with tympanic temperature measurements [PDF]
Purpose This study explored the validity of a new type of thermometer and parent satisfaction with the new device. This 24-hour continuous monitoring smart wearable wireless thermometer (TempTraq®) uses a very small semiconductor sensor with a thin patch-

Temperature sensitive SMA-causing point mutations lead to SMN instability, locomotor defects, and premature lethality in Drosophila [PDF]
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is the leading genetic cause of death in young children, arising from homozygous deletion or mutation of the SMN1 gene. SMN protein expressed from a paralogous gene, SMN2, is the primary genetic modifier of SMA; small changes in overall SMN levels cause dramatic changes in disease severity.

Abstract Thermal error compensation is a simple and efficient method to reduce thermal errors of machine tools, and the compensation effect largely depends on the temperature-sensitive points screened for the thermal error modeling. In this paper, 5 spindle heating experiments are carried out, and a new temperature-sensitive point screening method ...
