Analysis and Compensation of Bias Drift for a Micromachined Spinning-Rotor Gyroscope with Electrostatic Suspension

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Bias stability is one of primary characteristics of precise gyroscopes for inertial navigation. Analysis of various sources of the bias drift in a micromachined electrostatically suspended gyroscope (MESG) indicates that the bias stability is dominated ...

Lightweight Thermal Compensation Technique for MEMS Capacitive Accelerometer Oriented to Quasi-Static Measurements

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The application of MEMS capacitive accelerometers is limited by its thermal dependence, and each accelerometer must be individually calibrated to improve its performance.

Research on Temperature Drift Compensation Algorithms of Hall Current Sensor

open access: yesIEEE Access
Hall-effect current sensors are widely applied in industrial and power electronic systems, but their accuracy is limited by temperature drift, which induces offset shifts and sensitivity variations.

A bridge circuit for temperature drift cancellation

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1993
A bridge circuit is developed for cancelling temperature drifts of resistive sensors. It consists basically of two half bridges with a common reference arm, each one followed by a differential amplifier. The gains of the amplifiers are adjusted such that the half-bridge output voltages due to temperature variation of sensors cancel each other.

The influence of a moderate temperature drift on thermal physiology and perception

open access: yesPhysiology & Behavior, 2021
Humans spend approximately 80-90% of their time indoors. In current practice, indoor temperatures in many buildings are controlled very tightly. However, allowing more variation in indoor temperature results in more energy-efficient buildings and could potentially improve human metabolic and cardiovascular health.

Temperature coefficient of drift of m.o.s. transistors

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1966
Equations are derived for the thermal drift of an m.o.s. transistor operated at drain voltages beyond the pinchoff voltage. It is shown that zero temperature coefficient only occurs at one temperature, and that this temperature is a function of the operating point. The theory is compared with practical results.

Characteristic Analysis and Experiment of Adaptive Fiber Optic Current Sensor Technology

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The straight-through magneto-optical glass current sensor has desirable temperature properties, but it is vulnerable to magnetic interference. In contrast, a polarization-type fiber optic current sensor has poor temperature performance, but the magnetic ...
