Synthesis and Performance Evaluation of a Novel High-Temperature-Resistant Thickener

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Successful exploitation of carbonate reservoirs relies on the acid-fracturing process, while the thickeners used in this process play a key role. It is a common engineering problem that thickeners usually fail to function when used in high-temperature ...

Design the Impact of Temperature on the Modulation Bandwidth of InGaAs Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) for Efficient Optical Interconnect [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science
This simulation work, based on the design of an 850 nm InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum well (QWs) vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL), presents significant challenges, particularly due to the limitations of device bandwidth at higher temperatures.

The temperature stabilization and temperature measurement of a Kösters interferometer

open access: yesMeasurement Science and Technology, 2005
In this work, the mechanical design, optical setup and temperature measurement system of a Kosters interferometer are described for the length measurements of long gauge blocks. The temperature variation of 9 mK at 15 °C and 2 mK at 20 °C was measured inside the interferometric chamber using the six air and four surface thermistors.

Role of Extrinsic Contribution to Temperature Stability of Piezoelectricity for (K,Na)NbO3-(Bi,M)ZrO3 Ceramics with Morphotropic Phase Boundary

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Temperature stability of dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties were investigated in situ by choosing (K,Na)NbO3-(Bi,K)ZrO3 (KNN-BKZ), (K,Na)NbO3-(Bi,Na,K,Li)ZrO3 (KNN-BNKLZ), and (K,Na)NbO3-(Bi,Li)ZrO3-(KNN-BLZ) as representative ...

Influence of temperature, UV-light wavelength and intensity on polypropylene photothermal oxidation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A criterion based on the energy absorbed by photosensitive species was proposed to describe the contribution of UV-light to the initiation of the polypropylene photothermal oxidation whatever the light source. The calculation of this energy was performed
