Stability of time-periodic temperature fields [PDF]

open access: yesQuarterly of Applied Mathematics, 1987
The energy method developed by Joseph [4], Davis [2], and Homsy [3] is applied to the time-periodic temperature fields considered by Yih and Li [11] to obtain Rayleigh numbers below which the fluid is stable. This is done to see how far the Rayleigh numbers so determined fall below the critical Rayleigh numbers, above which the flow is unstable, as ...

A 1.43-nW 1.3-kHz Resistor-Less Relaxation Oscillator With 67.3-ppm/ ° C Stability

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper introduces a novel non-RC, leakage-based relaxation oscillator designed as a timer in ultra-low-power (ULP) applications. The proposed oscillator structure is created by stacking a source degeneration and a common-gate amplifier within a ...

Stability of alemtuzumab solutions at room temperature [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, 2013
The 24-hour stability of alemtuzumab solutions prepared at concentrations not included in the product label and stored in glass or polyolefin containers at room temperature was evaluated.Triplicate solutions of alemtuzumab (6.67, 40, and 120 μg/mL) in 0.9% sodium chloride were prepared in either glass bottles or polyolefin containers and stored at room

The Effect of Nb2O5 Precursor on KNN-Based Ceramics’ Piezoelectricity and Strain Temperature Stability

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
The performance of potassium sodium niobate ((K, Na) NbO3, KNN)-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics has significantly improved over the past decade. However, the performance bottlenecks of KNN-based ceramics cannot be ignored.

High Temperature Stability of Yttria Stabilized Zirconia

open access: yesNetsu Bussei, 2007

Investigating the Stability of eLiposomes at Elevated Temperatures [PDF]

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2014
eLiposomes encapsulate a perfluorocarbon nanoemulsion droplet inside a liposome. Ultrasound is then used as a trigger mechanism to vaporize the perfluorocarbon, break the liposome, and release the desired drug to the tumor tissue. The purpose of this research is to show that eLiposomes synthesized using perfluoropentane are stable above the normal ...

A Near-Infrared CMOS Silicon Avalanche Photodetector with Ultra-Low Temperature Coefficient of Breakdown Voltage

open access: yesMicromachines, 2021
Silicon avalanche photodetector (APD) plays a very important role in near-infrared light detection due to its linear controllable gain and attractive manufacturing cost. In this paper, a silicon APD with punch-through structure is designed and fabricated

Sharp global nonlinear stability for a fluid overlying a highly porous material

open access: yes, 2009
The stability of convection in a two-layer system in which a layer of fluid with a temperature-dependent viscosity overlies and saturates a highly porous material is studied. Owing to the difficulties associated with incorporating the nonlinear advection

Temperature, stability, and the hydrophobic interaction

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 1997
Changes in free energy are normally used to track the effect of temperature on the stability of proteins and hydrophobic interactions. Use of this procedure on the aqueous solubility of hydrocarbons, a standard representation of the hydrophobic effect, leads to the conclusion that the hydrophobic effect increases in strength as the temperature is ...
