Effect of Temperature and Temperature Uniformity on Plasma and Device Stability

MRS Proceedings, 2003
AbstractWe have investigated the changes in the cathode potential in a dc discharge of silane and hydrogen used to deposit the intrinsic layer of p-i-n type solar cells at deposition rates from 1 to 10Å/s with the superstrate temperature at 200°C and 250°C.

Effect of uniform and non-uniform skin temperature on thermal exchanges in water in humans

International Journal of Biometeorology, 2002
We investigated the effect of uniform (UST) and non-uniform (NUST) skin temperature on thermal exchanges during a 3-h water immersion in five male subjects wearing (NUST) or not wearing (UST) a water-perfused garment. UST was achieved by immersing the nude subject in water up to the neck.

Temperature uniformity simulation of vapor chamber

2012 7th International Microsystems, Packaging, Assembly and Circuits Technology Conference (IMPACT), 2012
In this study, temperature uniformity and heating rate of multi-well vapor chambers of different materials were simulated and analyzed by CFD software at natural convection condition. Heat sources with a total heating power of 1200W were uniformly distributed to six 30×30mm2 rectangular vapor chambers for heating. Model size of the vapor chamber is 112×

Uniform Temperature Cylindrical Furnace

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1976
A method of calculating the variation in temperature along the axis of a uniformly wound cylindrical furnace is given. Methods have been suggested for obtaining a predetermined field of temperature, including uniform temperature in a furnace. The following has been shown.

Germanium Photodiodes - Temperature And Uniformity Effects

SPIE Proceedings, 1985
Longwave fiber optic systems require accurate power measurements in the spectral region from 1.0 to 1.6 microns. We have studied the characteristics of germanium photodiodes with the hope that these devices might achieve the accuracy, stability, and dynamic range in the longwave region that silicon photodiodes have achieved in the shortwave region.1'2 ...

Temperature Control and Temperature Uniformity During Rapid Thermal Processing

MRS Proceedings, 1991
AbstractAn overview is given of the major problems in temperature control and uniformity control. For temperature control varying emissivity due to layers, roughness, doping and chamber design are discussed, together with problems due to lamp radiation. The main way to go seems to be in-situ emissivity correction.

High-temperature creep under a non-uniform temperature distribution

Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1989
Abstract : This report analyzes an example of creep in a material under a nonuniform temperature distribution, and uses simple but realistic assumptions for that distribution and for the material creep properties as a function of temperature. This analysis was motivated by measurements of creep at high temperatures in unidirectional, fibrous carbon ...

Turbulence in an atmosphere with a non-uniform temperature

Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 1971
In this work the effect of static stability on the development of atmospheric turbulence is investigated. This influence is considered quantitatively by generalizing Prandtl's semi-empirical theory, i.e., by using a correcting factor in the form of a universal function of the Richardson number.

Design of Uniform Temperature Controller based on Temperature Difference Model

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2008
Abstract Thermal distribution in manufacturing processes, which is observed in both steady and transient states, causes inferior quality. Thus, uniform temperature control is extremely required in many industrial application fields for quality improvement.
