The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Research and Optimization of Liquid Cooling Plate for High-heat-flux Components
Fluid cooling plates are widely used in the heat dissipation of high-density components, which imposes stricter requirements for the temperature uniformity of the plate surface.

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Possible Schemes and Effects in Improving Temperature Uniformity in Indirect Cooling Wine Cabinet
The development of a high-quality wine cabinet requires a method to make the temperature distribution in the cabinet as uniform as possible. In this study, basic ideas for achieving a uniform temperature in a wine cabinet are presented, including a ...

Functionally Graded Discs subjected to Uniform Temperature Loading
In this study, analytical stress analysis of annular rotating discs made of functionally graded materials (FGMs) subjected to uniform thermal loads were performed at different temperatures. The elasticity modulus and thermal expansion coefficient of the discs that has constant Poisson's ratio were assumed to vary radially according to power law ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
