Characterization of Nanoporous Surfaces as Templates for Drug Delivery Devices [PDF]
While the earlier research in drug delivery has been focused on development of drugs, present methodologies target development of the delivery device itself (1–3). Implantable drug delivery devices offer various advantages such as maintenance of therapeutic blood levels, improved patient compliance, and improved safety (4).

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Tamoxifen Delivery System Based on PEGylated Magnetic MCM-41 Silica
Magnetic iron oxide containing MCM-41 silica (MM) with ~300 nm particle size was developed. The MM material before or after template removal was modified with NH2- or COOH-groups and then grafted with PEG chains.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Facial Synthesis of 3D MnO2 Nanofibers Sponge and Its Application in Supercapacitors
Mesoporous Al2O3 template was facially constructed by hydrolysis of aluminum nitrate solution, and 3D MnO2 foam was fabricated by redox reaction of Mn2+ and MnO4- in the nanoholes of Al2O3 template, followed by sacrificial dissolution of the Al2O3 matrix.

Efficient and Accurate Template-based Reconstruction of Deformable Surfaces [PDF]
3D surface reconstruction in deformable environments presents significant challenges. Template-based methods have proven robust for achieving accurate reconstructions by utilising images and textured triangulated meshes as reference data. These methods rely on feature detection in both the reference and current images to establish corresponding points,

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Ordered Mesoporous Carbons as Novel and Efficient Adsorbent for Dye Removal from Aqueous Solution
Ordered mesoporous carbons (OMCs) were successfully synthesized by using hard template and soft template methods. These materials were characterized by XRD, TEM, and N2 adsorption-desorption Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET).
