Solution‐Processed Thin‐Film Transistors With Tunable Temporal Dynamics for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed CNT and CNT/P3HT ion‐gated transistors exhibit materials‐defined synaptic timescales: fast CNT devices for high‐frequency spiking and slow hybrid devices for temporal integration. Embedding these dynamics into coupled reservoir‐computing and spiking neural network simulations reveals that a Hybrid‐Reservoir / CNT‐SNN architecture ...

Facile synthesis and characterization of Au-Cu, Pt-Cu nanotubes by sacrificial template method

open access: yes, 2014
Bimetallic nanotubes with noble metals have already shown more versatile performances than single-metallic nanotubes. However, most of the current methods to prepare bimetallic nanotubes are based on existed hard template, which could not be easily ...

Super hydrophobic mesoporous silica with anchored methyl groups on the surface by a one-step synthesis without surfactant template

open access: yes, 2007
Mesoporous silicas with methyl groups anchored on the pore wall by covalent bonds were prepared using polymethylhydrosiloxane and tetraethylorthosilicate as silica sources via a one-step synthesis approach. No surfactants were introduced in the synthesis

Ultrasmall High‐Entropy Materials: Nanoscale Effects, Synthesis, and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review article focuses on sub‐10 nm high‐entropy materials that combine nanoscale design with complex compositions for next‐generation applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasmall high‐entropy nanomaterials (USHENMs, <10 nm) merge multicomponent chemistry with size‐dependent effects, forming a distinct class of materials with unprecedented properties.

Controlled Engineering of 2D Alkali‐Iron‐Chloride Compounds and Lateral Quantum Heterostructures Within Confined Graphene Nanoreactors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a programmable atomic engineering strategy for 2D materials using Å‐scale nanoreactors formed by bilayer graphene (BLG) intercalation. A new class of alkali‐iron‐chloride compounds, along with lateral heterostructures composed of monolayer alkali halides and iron chlorides, is revealed.

Is It Real Type‐II or S‐Scheme? A Three‐Phase Diagnostic Protocol for Identifying Potentially Mislabeled Heterojunction Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Diagnostic analysis via the heterojunction validation funnel. The funnel illustrates the hierarchical stratification of 30 reported Type‐II systems based on the three‐phase, seven‐step diagnostic framework. Complete validation through all phases is achieved by only 3.3% of systems, while 96.7% lack full mechanistic validation, revealing a pervasive ...
