Template synthesis of nanomaterials [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal Applied Physics, 2005
We present an overview of template synthesis as it applies to our nanomaterials research. This bottom-up approach is motivated by our desire to find an alternative to the big, top-down approaches to nanoscience, such as clean-rooms and X-ray lithography.

Crown Ether Active Template Synthesis of Rotaxanes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Rotaxanes are interlocked molecules that consist of a macrocycle encircling a stoppered thread. The ability to control relative component positions makes rotaxanes ideal building blocks for constructing functional and responsive molecular machines ...

Template-Directed Synthesis of a Conjugated Zinc Porphyrin Nanoball [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We report the template-directed synthesis of a π-conjugated 14-porphyrin nanoball. This structure consists of two intersecting nanorings containing six and 10 porphyrin units. Fluorescence upconversion spectroscopy experiments demonstrate that electronic

Template synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial activity of some new complexes with isonicotinoyl hydrazone ligands [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2009
Complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) with the 9-anthraldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone ligand (HL1) and the 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone ligand (H2L2) were synthesized by the template method.

Toffoli network synthesis with templates [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2005
Reversible logic functions can be realized as networks of Toffoli gates. The synthesis of Toffoli networks can be divided into two steps. First, find a network that realizes the desired function. Second, transform the network such that it uses fewer gates, while realizing the same function. This paper addresses the above synthesis approach.

Heat-Mediated Transformation of PMMA-SiO2 Core-Shell Particles into Hollow SiO2 Particles

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
Changes in the morphology and structure of the core-shell particles of polymethyl methacrylate-silicon dioxide and hollow SiO2 particles during their heat treatment were studied by electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction.

Parallel DNA polymerase chain reaction: Synthesis of two different PCR products from a DNA template [v1; ref status: indexed, http://f1000r.es/4sm]

open access: yesF1000Research, 2014
Conventionally, in a polymerase chain reaction (PCR), oligonucleotide primers bind to the template DNA in an antiparallel complementary way and the template DNA is amplified as it is.
