Fretting Wear and Corrosion Behavior of the Fe‐35Mn Biodegradable Alloy for Biomedical Applications
This study evaluates the corrosion and tribological wear behavior of the Fe‐35Mn alloy, demonstrating superior mechanical stability and a more favorable degradation rate than pure iron, thereby highlighting its potential for biomedical applications. ABSTRACT The biodegradable Fe‐35Mn alloy has emerged as a promising material for temporary implants due ...

An electroconductive MXene‐TFC membrane integrates osmotic dewatering with anodic oxidation to concentrate and mineralize PFOA at the membrane interface. The coupled AO‐PRO configuration accelerates degradation kinetics, achieves 99% rejection and up to 93% TOC removal, and lowers specific energy demand, offering a compact route for PFAS destruction ...

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.
