Insights Into Late‐Onset Rheumatoid Arthritis (LORA): Characteristics (Clinical and Imaging), Comorbidities, and Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesGeriatrics &Gerontology International, Volume 26, Issue 2, February 2026.
The main features of late‐onset rheumatoid arthritis (LORA), manifesting after age 65, are acute onset, higher disease activity, systemic involvement, and less presence of autoantibodies. Dynamic Ultrasound Imaging of Extensor Pollicis Brevis Hypertrophy in Proximal Intersection Syndrome: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 54, Issue 1, Page 213-219, January 2026.
Dynamic ultrasound revealed extensor pollicis brevis hypertrophy displacing second compartment tendons, suggesting a novel friction‐based mechanism for proximal intersection syndrome. This case highlights the role of dynamic sonography in identifying motion‐dependent tendon interactions underlying overuse‐related wrist pain.

Hazards of steroid injection: Suppurative extensor tendon rupture

open access: yesIndian Journal of Plastic Surgery, 2010
Local steroid injections are often administered in the office setting for treatment of trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, de Quervain's tenosynovitis, and basal joint arthritis. If attention is paid to sterile technique, infectious complications are

Smartphone-induced tendinitis: A case report

open access: yesJournal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, 2019
Repetitive manipulation of thumbs and fingers too much can cause de Quervain tenosynovitis. Some smartphones are becoming larger than their predecessors, with larger display, which might lead to more occurrence of tenosynovitis. A Japanese man in his 40s

Elucidating the Molecular Basis in a Cohort of Patients With Combined Bleeding Tendencies and Joint Hypermobility Manifestations

open access: yesHaemophilia, Volume 32, Issue 1, Page 185-194, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In patients with unexplained bleeding and normal haemostatic parameters, heritable disorders of connective tissue (HDCT) may be an underlying cause due to vascular fragility, as observed in Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (EDS) or Marfan syndrome (MS). This study aims to investigate the molecular profile of patients with joint hypermobility (
