A Two‐Stage Questionnaire and Actigraphy Screening for iRBD in a Multicenter Retrospective Cohort
ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid‐eye‐movement sleep behavior disorder is a prodromal marker of synucleinopathies. However, most cases remain undiagnosed due to the insufficient predictive value of questionnaires and limited access to confirmatory video‐polysomnography. We assessed a two‐stage screening strategy combining a brief questionnaire on rapid‐

Comparative Analysis of G-Layers in Bast Fiber and Xylem Cell Walls in Flax Using Raman Spectroscopy
In a response to gravitropic stress, G-layers (gelatinous layers) were deposited in xylem cell walls of tilted flax plants. G-layers were produced in both tension wood (upper side) as expected but were also observed in opposite wood (lower side).

ABSTRACT Objective Neurochemical levels measured by brain MR spectroscopy (MRS) have been proposed as endpoints for clinical trials in early‐stage spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) trials. We tested their trial‐readiness by quantifying neurochemicals in three affected brain regions in early‐stage cohorts of SCA2 and SCA3, examining their reproducibility in ...

Rheological consideration in fracture of wood in lateral tension [PDF]
For the purpose of elucidating the effect of rheological property of wood on lateral tensile fracture, failure strain, elastic modulus, and creep at various temperature conditions were measured. And, relationship between the degree of softening or fluidity and lateral tensile failure strain was examined.

Predictive Value of Composite Inflammatory Markers for Stroke Prognosis: A Prospective Cohort Study
ABSTRACT Background Novel composite inflammatory markers' role in stroke prognosis is understudied, and the best predictor is unclear, requiring further exploration. Objectives This study aimed to systematically evaluate the associations of 6 novel composite inflammatory markers on stroke prognosis.

Reserves, Injury Severity, and Outcomes in Traumatic Brain Injury: A CENTER‐TBI Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Reserve refers to the brain's ability to maintain function after an injury and strongly relates to traumatic brain injury (TBI) outcomes. This study examined (1) whether associations between pre‐injury reserve proxies and outcomes differed across injury severity categories, and (2) whether the impact of injury severity varied across ...
