Terahertz antennas can greatly enhance the near fields and enable strong light−matter interactions, and thus have been widely used in applications such as terahertz sensing and detection. Here we propose a novel approach to further enhance the near

Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Towards a compact THz local oscillator based on a quantum cascade laser [PDF]
Heterodyne spectroscopy of molecular rotational lines and atomic fine-structure lines is a powerful tool in astronomy and planetary research. One example is the OI fine-structure line at 4.7 THz.

Microelectromechanical Maltese-cross metamaterial with tunable terahertz anisotropy
Dichroic polarizers and waveplates exploiting anisotropic materials have vast applications in displays and numerous optical components, such as filters, beamsplitters and isolators. Artificial anisotropic media were recently suggested for the realization

Fast Terahertz Computed-Tomography Imaging With a Quantum-Cascade Laser and a Scanning Mirror [PDF]
A terahertz transmission imaging system based on a quantum-cascade laser (QCL), a fast scanning mirror, and a sensitive Ge:Ga detector is demonstrated. In order to reduce artifacts, special care was taken on the optics and the conversion of the measured

Far‐Infrared Hyperbolic Phonon–Polaritons in Zirconium Disulfide
An unpatterned ZrS2${\rm ZrS}_2$ flake, coupled to far‐field infrared light by metal nanoribbons, reveals hyperbolic phonon polaritons with multiple higher‐order branches and effective refractive indices up to 223. This resonator‐assisted approach establishes ZrS2${\rm ZrS}_2$ as a compact van der Waals platform for deeply subwavelength far‐infrared ...
