Terahertz generation in poled polymers
2005 Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference, 2005THz radiation power dependence on pump laser spot size was explored using a poled polymer and the electro-optic coefficient of the polymer was estimated. THz spectroscopy on several UV-curable passive polymers was also carried out.

Terahertz generation in photonic crystals
SPIE Proceedings, 2004We describe a tunable, narrow-band, coherent THz radiation source based on parametric down-conversion in a photonic crystal. Our design is based on down-conversion mixing and a local-field enhancement mechanism that is available by tuning each of the two driving laser fields either to band-edge or to a defect mode in the band gap.

Generation of shaped terahertz pulses
35th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2010Phase-locked THz pulse pairs and tunable narrowband THz pulses are generated by means of femtosecond optical pulse shaping combined with optical rectification in ZnTe crystal. THz spectra as narrow as 140 GHz and tunable between 0.5 and 2.5 THz are reported.

Abstract Enhanced terahertz wave generation via a Stokes cascade process has been demonstrated using picosecond pulse pumped terahertz parametric generation at 1 kHz repetition rate. Clear cascade saturation of terahertz output was observed, and the corresponding cascade-Stokes spectra were analyzed.
