Terahertz Study of Trichloroanisole by Time-Domain Spectroscopy
Frontiers in Optics 2007/Laser Science XXIII/Organic Materials and Devices for Displays and Energy Conversion, 2007This work presents THz time-domain spectroscopy applied in transmission to three TCA compounds (2,3,4-TCA, 2,4,6-TCA and 2,5,6-TCA) in pellet form pressed with polyethylene. Experiment results would be compared to theoretical modeling of the vibrational modes.

Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy of Imidazolium Ionic Liquids
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2007We have measured the terahertz (THz) complex dielectric spectra of imidazolium ionic liquids by THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) in the frequency range from 5 (0.15 THz) to 140 cm(-1) (4.2 THz). The ionic liquids investigated are 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium (EMIm+)/trifluoromethanesulfonate (TfO-), EMIm+/tetrafluoroborate (BF(4)-), 1-butyl-3 ...

Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy of Selected Layered Silicates
Clays and Clay Minerals, 2009AbstractMicaceous layer silicate clay minerals are attractive materials for applications involving non-linear optics because of their low cost and ability to form well ordered, platy aggregates, but such applications require precise knowledge of the dielectric behavior of the clay.

Determination of Cellulose Crystallinity by Terahertz-Time Domain Spectroscopy
Analytical Chemistry, 2014Terahertz-time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) has the ability to probe the crystallinity of several materials, due to the interaction of THz radiation with optical phonons in crystal lattices. In this work, THz-TDS has been used to quantify the degree of crystallinity of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) samples.

Polarization-Resolved Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy
Journal of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2011Measuring the full polarization state of radiation in terahertz time-domain spectroscopy has allowed scientists to study a number of complex dielectric anisotropic properties of materials that could not be easily measured before. Novel polarization sensitive photoconductive detectors have simplified this task and their development has been a ...

Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy of Glasses
2019Terahertz-time domain spectroscopy () uses the real and imaginary parts of the dielectric and optical constants for glass characterization over a wide frequency range in the electromagnetic spectrum. This chapter provides an overview and analysis of various THz spectrometers and typical data sets over \(0.1{-}10\,{\mathrm{THz}}\).

Time-Domain and Ultrafast Terahertz Spectroscopy
2016Many basic condensed matter properties and phenomena are governed by the spectrum of electronic and vibrational degrees of freedom at low energies, comparable to the Boltzmann thermal energy (kBT). They determine both the material’s ground state at finite temperature and its dynamical response to electromagnetic or electronic perturbations.

HIGH POWER TIME DOMAIN TERAHERTZ SPECTROSCOPY
2014Terahertz (THz) has become a strong area for scientific research and commercial application in recent years. This research group has redesigned and optimized a THz photoconductive antenna, which currently operates with approximately 10x the power of a commercial antenna.
