Metastatic Ovarian Teratocarcinoma in a Horse
Journal of Comparative Pathology, 2020A 3-year-old Quarter Horse mare presented with an approximate 1-month history of progressive weight loss, anorexia and lethargy that abruptly worsened 48 h before death. Post-mortem examination revealed free flocculent fluid and a large mass within the ventral abdomen that dorsally displaced the caecum and large intestine.

AbstractWe have produced somatic cell hybrids between totipotent mouse teratocarcinoma and myeloma cells. These hybrids behave like the teratocar‐cinoma cell parent and express teratocarcinoma embryonal antigens. However, they also express the myeloma H‐2 antigens.

Teratocarcinoma (TCa) is a type of testicular germ cell tumor composed of teratoma and embryonal carcinoma (EC). Experimental mouse TCa are obtained by transplanting gastrulating mouse embryos underneath a kidney capsule of a syngeneic animal. While the model histologically corresponds to human TCa, their molecular signature remains obscure. The aim of

Sacrococcygeal teratoma and teratocarcinoma
Seminars in Colon and Rectal Surgery, 2004Although relatively rare, teratomas represent the most common neoplasm of the newborn period and the sacrococcygeal position is the most frequent extragonadal site. Teratomas are tumors that contain elements derived from more than one of the embryonic germ layers and generally all three.

[Skin metastasis of a teratocarcinoma].
Der Hautarzt; Zeitschrift fur Dermatologie, Venerologie, und verwandte Gebiete, 1983Various tumors develop skin metastasis with a variable incidence. Skin metastasis is rare in teratocarcinoma of the testis [1]. This report deals with a case history in which a teratocarcinoma developed metastasis in the skin of the face and head.

Epimutations in teratocarcinoma development
2011Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) are the most frequent cancers in young men. Present study takes advantage of the experimental mouse teratocarcinoma (TCa) model, a powerful tool for detecting /monitoring alterations, including epigenetic disruptions, during a timeframe of cancer development in vivo.
