Elastic properties of terbium [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 1996
The temperature dependence of the Young modulus along the crystallographic axes b and c (E(b) and E(c)), and the internal friction of a terbium single crystal have been measured. At 4.2 K, E(b) and E(c) are equal to 38 and 84.5 GPa, respectively. The lattice part of the Young modulus and the Debye temperature has been calculated.

Sodium terbium(III) polyphosphate [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2010
Single crystals of the title compound, NaTb(PO(3))(4), were obtained by solid-state reaction. This compound belongs to type II of long-chain polyphosphates with the general formula A(I)B(III)(PO(3))(4). It is isotypic with the NaNd(PO(3))(4) and NaEr(PO(3))(4) homologues. The crystal structure is built up of infinite crenelated chains of corner-sharing

Extraction Chromatography Materials Prepared with HDEHP on Different Inorganic Supports for the Separation of Gadolinium and Terbium

open access: yesMetals, 2020
Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (HDEHP) is frequently used as an extractant in the separation and recovery of lanthanides by solvent extraction and extraction chromatography, where HDEHP (stationary phase) is fixed on an inert support and the mobile ...

Effects of severe plastic deformation on the magnetic properties of terbium

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
We report on the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Terbium ribbons subjected by cold rolling. The magnetic entropy change ΔS = 8.66 J/(kg·K) and adiabatic temperature change ΔT = 4.38 K for a bulk sample of Terbium in an external magnetic field ...

Study of Silver Nanoparticles Sensitized Fluorescence and Second-Order Scattering of Terbium(III)-Pefloxacin Mesylate Complex and Determination of Pefloxacin Mesylate

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
α-Keto acid of pefloxacin mesylate (PFLX) can form the complex with Terbium(III). The intramolecular energy from PFLX to Terbium(III) ion takes place when excited, and thus Terbium(III) excited state is formed and then emits the characteristic ...
