Terbium-Based AGuIX-Design Nanoparticle to Mediate X-ray-Induced Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2021
X-ray-induced photodynamic therapy is based on the energy transfer from a nanoscintillator to a photosensitizer molecule, whose activation leads to singlet oxygen and radical species generation, triggering cancer cells to cell death.

Luminescence of peptide-bound terbium ions Determination of binding constants [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Luminescence of Tb3+ ions bound to a calmodulin fragments has been studied. It is shown that during their lifetime excited ions dissociate from the peptide. If concentration of free peptide is high enough they can be coordinated again.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Luminescent mesoporous silica nanohybrid based on drug derivative terbium complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Mesoporous silica nanoparticles prepared by organic template-driven synthesis have been successfully explored as carriers of the drug-derivate green luminescent complex of terbium (III) with the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug ketoprofen. The terbium

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Caractéristiques spectroscopiques des tétrabenzoylacétonates-sodium d'europium et de terbium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
A four-ligand rare-earth chelate with a sodium ion is described. It has been obtained with benzoylacetone and europium, terbium or lanthanum ions. The différent molecular and ionic transitions are studied by means of the spectra (absorption and emission)

On characterization of physical properties for terbium (IV) oxide system via curve fitting models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The main objective of this study is to explore Terbium (IV) oxide through the use of its chemical graph. Theegree-based topological reverse indices of Terbium (IV) oxide have been related to thermodynamic assets such as heat of formation and entropy.

The Mechanism of the Photostability Enhancement of Thin-Film Transistors Based on Solution-Processed Oxide Semiconductors Doped with Tetravalent Lanthanides

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
The applications of thin-film transistors (TFTs) based on oxide semiconductors are limited due to instability under negative bias illumination stress (NBIS).

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
