Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Terbium doped glasses: their optical properties and potential applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
The optical properties of inorganic glasses doped with terbium have been investigated with particular emphasis on silicate glass systems. The effect of increasing terbium concentration on the refractive index of silicate glasses has been investigated and

Synthesis and structure of hydrated terbium carbonate [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
992-994Crystalline terbium carbonate has been synthesized using ammonium bicarbonate as a precipitant. The X-ray diffraction data have been indexed and these indicate a monoclinic system with cell parameters, a= 18.745Å, b= 14.244Å, c= 15.329Å and β = 95.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Efficient Electroluminescence from a New Terbium Complex

open access: yes, 2016
Although lanthanide complexes have distinct advantages for use as light-emitting materials, such as sharp emission bands and 100% quantum efficiency theoretically, their performance was far below what is expected.

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

A Review on Recovery of Terbium from Primary and Secondary Resources: Current State and Future Perspective

open access: yes, 2023
Rare earth elements (REEs) are essential for high-tech and low-carbon economies. Achieving global net-zero emissions by 2050 would require a significant increase in mineral input, including 3–7 times more REEs.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

A Simple Attitude Unscented Kalman Filter: Theory and Evaluation in a Magnetometer-Only Spacecraft Scenario

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
A quaternion-based attitude unscented Kalman filter is formulated with quaternion errors parameterized by small angle approximations and is applied to a filter with a state vector consisting of the attitude quaternion and the gyro bias vector. The filter
