Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Relaxation of carriers in terbium-doped ZnO nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Terbium ions were successfully incorporated in nano-sized zinc oxide particles with a doping concentration up to 3% by using a wet chemical route. Four narrow emission peaks of Tb3+ ions and a broad emission band of the surface states on ZnO nano-hosts ...

New Terbium Complex as a Luminescent Sensor for the Highly Selective Detection of Malathion in Water Samples

open access: yesChemosensors, 2023
A novel ligand, namely, (N’,N’’’-((1E,2E)-1,2-diphenylethane-1,2-diylidene)bis(3-allyl-2-hydroxybenzohydrazide) (H2DBAZ), was designed and synthesized.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Lanthanide-Sensitized Lanthanide Luminescence:  Terbium-Sensitized Ytterbium Luminescence in a Trinuclear Complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A heterotrinuclear lanthanide complex has been prepared which contains two terbium ions in DO3A-derived binding sites and a single ytterbium ion in a DTPA-like site.
