Bis(η5-cyclopentadienyl)(2-{[(2-methoxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenolato-κ3O,N,O′)terbium
The air- and moisture-sensitive title compound, [Tb(C5H5)2(C14H12NO2)], was synthesized from tris(cyclopentadienyl)(tetrahydrofuran)terbium and 2-{[(2-methoxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenol. Each Tb atom is coordinated by two cyclopentadienyl ligands in an η5-

α-Keto acid of pefloxacin mesylate (PFLX) can form the complex with Terbium(III). The intramolecular energy from PFLX to Terbium(III) ion takes place when excited, and thus Terbium(III) excited state is formed and then emits the characteristic ...

Purification of Terbium Isotopes for Applications in Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine is used to diagnose and treat a number of disorders and diseases and is an essential part of a hospital’s clinical toolkit. Diagnostic nuclear medicine utilises radioactive isotopes which emit either gamma-rays or positrons.

Nonoxide Sol-Gel Synthesis of Terbium-Doped Silicon Nitride Phosphors
Exposure of solutions of Tb(N(SiMe3)2)3 with SiCl(NEt2)3 in tetrahydrofuran to dry ammonia results in polymeric xerogels. Heating these gels in ammonia leads to amorphous Tb:SiNx phosphors that exhibit bright green luminescence under UV irradiation.

Effects of severe plastic deformation on the magnetic properties of terbium
We report on the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of Terbium ribbons subjected by cold rolling. The magnetic entropy change ΔS = 8.66 J/(kg·K) and adiabatic temperature change ΔT = 4.38 K for a bulk sample of Terbium in an external magnetic field ...

Terbium-Based AGuIX-Design Nanoparticle to Mediate X-ray-Induced Photodynamic Therapy
X-ray-induced photodynamic therapy is based on the energy transfer from a nanoscintillator to a photosensitizer molecule, whose activation leads to singlet oxygen and radical species generation, triggering cancer cells to cell death.

Sodium terbium(III) polyphosphate [PDF]
Single crystals of the title compound, NaTb(PO(3))(4), were obtained by solid-state reaction. This compound belongs to type II of long-chain polyphosphates with the general formula A(I)B(III)(PO(3))(4). It is isotypic with the NaNd(PO(3))(4) and NaEr(PO(3))(4) homologues. The crystal structure is built up of infinite crenelated chains of corner-sharing

Luminescence of peptide-bound terbium ions Determination of binding constants [PDF]
Luminescence of Tb3+ ions bound to a calmodulin fragments has been studied. It is shown that during their lifetime excited ions dissociate from the peptide. If concentration of free peptide is high enough they can be coordinated again.
