HISTOCHEMICAL AND IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL FEATURES OF DIFFERENTIATED TROPHOBLAST IN CHORIONIC VILLI OF THE PLACENTA IN PRETERM LABOR [PDF]
The importance of studying the histochemical and immunohistochemical features of the diff erentiated trophoblast in chorionic villi of the placenta in preterm labor is determined by the threatening nature of this condition for both mother and fetus, as ...

The structure of the terminal villi was observed in placentae from non-diabetic mothers and mothers with diabetes mellitus using scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The metabolic condition of maternal diabetes was tightly controlled. In the diabetic group, the diameter of the terminal villi was significantly smaller than in the control group.

STEREOLOGICAL STUDIES ON FETAL VASCULAR DEVELOPMENT IN HUMAN PLACENTAL VILLI [PDF]
In human pregnancy, fetal well-being depends on the development of placental villi and the creation and maintenance of fetal microvessels within them.

MORPHOMETRIC PARAMETERS OF PLACENTAL CHORIONIC VILLI IN LABOR AFTER 40 WEEKS [PDF]
The placenta is the main organ that ensures the vital activity of the fetus during pregnancy. Studying the morphometric characteristics of chorionic villi allows us to better understand the changes that occur in the placenta in late pregnancy.

Human type 2 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase mRNA and protein distribution in placental villi at mid and term pregnancy [PDF]
Background During human pregnancy, the placental villi produces high amounts of estradiol. This steroid is secreted by the syncytium, which is directly in contact with maternal blood.

Propagation of pure fetal and maternal mesenchymal stromal cells from terminal chorionic villi of human term placenta [PDF]
Long term propagation of human fetal Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSC) in vitro has proven elusive due to limited availability of fetal tissue sources and lack of appropriate methodologies.

Analytical model of the feto-placental vascular system: consideration of placental oxygen transport [PDF]
The placenta is a transient vascular organ that enables nutrients and blood gases to be exchanged between fetal and maternal circulations. Herein, the structure and oxygen diffusion across the trophoblast membrane between the fetal and maternal red blood
