Improving Moist‐Electric Generator Stability and Performance by Enhancing Interfacial Activity With Crosslinked Aminated Carbon Dots

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
A high‐performance moisture‐enabled electricity generation (MEG) device with amino‐functionalized carbon dots on flexible fabric via thermal crosslinking is presented. The thermal crosslinking strategy enhances adhesion, removes inert groups, and suppresses carbon dots migration, boosting voltage (0.90 V vs. 0.56 V) and stability over 120 h.

Evaluation of Structural Vulnerabilities in DNA Origami Nanoplatforms Using Ionizing Radiation

open access: yesChemNanoMat, Volume 12, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study utilizes ionizing radiation to simulate long‐term degradation across three distinct DNA origami shapes, identifying structural weak points via AFM, AGE, and melting point analyses. Despite high radiation tolerance, exposed edges and single‐stranded domains show increased vulnerability, providing essential design benchmarks for engineering ...

Affordable CRISPR RNP‐Based Genome Editing in Euglena gracilis

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Genome editing can enhance basic research and enable industrial applications of green algae. Here, we present an affordable, broadly applicable workflow for genome editing in the unicellular green alga Euglena gracilis using Cas9 nucleases. This method retains high editing efficiency while significantly lowering technical barriers.

Genetic Diversification in a New Guinean Frog Genus (Mantophryne, Microhylidae) was Driven by Ancient Tectonic Activity and Climate Reorganisation

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
Our dated phylogeny and biogeographic analysis of Mantophryne, a microhylid frog genus endemic to New Guinea, revealed origins in the East Papuan Composite Terrane (EPCT) in the late Pliocene. Dispersal and diversification out from the EPCT was driven by tectonic activity and climate reorganisation, creating habitat corridors and isolations in the Late
