Sexual Activity of Patients Undergoing Testicular Sperm Extraction [PDF]
Abstract Introduction For couples who wish for a baby, sexual activity (through intercourse) is the only way to conceive naturally. However, the sexual activity of men undergoing testicular sperm extraction (TESE) and factors that influence it among affected couples are not clearly understood.

Androgen receptor polymorphisms and testicular cancer risk [PDF]
Testicular cancer (TC) is currently the most common malignant solid tumour in Caucasian males aged 15-39 years. Epidemiological evidence suggests that its onset may be due to an imbalance in the action of steroidal sex hormones and their receptors.

Three cases of sperm immobility for intracytoplasmic sperm injection using testicular sperm
Introduction Sperm immobility is a condition in which sperm are viable but not motile. We reported three patients with sperm immobility, who underwent testicular sperm extraction‐intracytoplasmic sperm injection.

Paternal Circadian Disruption Impairs Offspring Cognition via Sperm microRNAs
Paternal circadian disruption remodels the sperm small RNA payload, elevating miR‐92a‐3p/miR‐25‐3p levels and perturbing early embryonic gene regulatory programs. Microinjection experiments and single‐embryo transcriptomics reveal sex‐specific developmental vulnerabilities, ultimately impairing offspring hippocampal synaptic plasticity and cognition ...

Incidental seminoma in nonobstructive azoospermia: a case report
Objective: To report on the incidental finding of invasive seminoma in a patient with nonobstructive azoospermia during microdissection testicular sperm extraction. Design: Case report.

Testicular sperm extraction in a patient with metachronous bilateral testicular cancer [PDF]
A new indication for testicular tissue cryopreservation is demonstrated in a patient with metachronous bilateral testicular tumours and azoospermia. At the age of 18 (1982) the patient underwent left orchidectomy and radical retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy for a testicular teratoma (pT1N0M0).

PSMA8‐Containing 20S Proteasome Regulates Spermiogenesis and Male Fertility
PSMA8 assembles s20S proteasome that degrades specific substrates in elongating spermatids. Degradation of s20S‐substrates activates translation of FXR1‐target mRNAs, which are essential for mitochondrial sheath formation and sperm morphogenesis.

A genetic basis for a postmeiotic X versus Y chromosome intragenomic conflict in the mouse. [PDF]
Intragenomic conflicts arise when a genetic element favours its own transmission to the detriment of others. Conflicts over sex chromosome transmission are expected to have influenced genome structure, gene regulation, and speciation.
