A Novel Cultivation System for Germ Cell Proliferation and Sustaining Whole Testicular Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hydrogel microneedle‐based system enables whole testicular cultivation, supporting spermatogonial proliferation and enhancing spermatogenesis in vitro. This ‘whole testicular spermatogonia pool’ (WTSP) significantly increases spermatid production and fertility potential in mice. This system also promotes spermatogonial expansion in human fetal testes,

Cancer testis antigens in newly diagnosed and relapse multiple myeloma: prognostic markers and potential targets for immunotherapy

open access: yesHaematologica, 2011
Background In multiple myeloma, expression of cancer testis antigens may provide prognostic markers and potential targets for immunotherapy. Expression at relapse has not yet been evaluated for a large panel of cancer testis antigens which can be ...

Dissent of the testis [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ, 2007
We previously reported that two chocolates—Teasers and Truffles (Celebrations, Masterfoods UK, Melton Mowbray)—were strikingly similar to the 8 ml bead of the orchidometer used to assess testicular volume.1 We therefore suggested that they could be used to stage puberty in males and, because of their wide availability and low cost, commended their use.

STK25 Loss Augments Anti‐PD‐1 Therapy Efficacy by Regulating PD‐L1 Stability in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that STK25 depletion facilitates CRC immune escape through the inhibition of PD‐L1 Ser283 phosphorylation‐mediated ubiquitination, and promotes tumor growth. Furthermore, these findings identify STK25 as a potential therapeutic target to trigger antitumor immunity and promote immunotherapy efficacy. Abstract Tumor immune evasion

Draper‐ATG3 Interaction Positively Regulates Autophagy to Mediate Silk Gland Degradation in Bombyx mori

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Draper is evolutionarily conserved across most insect species. Loss of Draper inhibits autophagy activation, delaying middle silk gland degradation in the silkworm during metamorphosis. Draper interacts with autophagy ‐ related protein 3 (ATG3) to orchestrate autophagosome formation—a process essential for silk gland degradation during the larval‐pupal

Norepinephrine Induces Sertoli Cell Ferroptosis via Receptors Desensitization Causing Stress‐Related Male Reproductive Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Psychological stress activates the sympathetic–adrenal axis, elevating norepinephrine (NE) and suppressing reproductive hormones, thereby impairing male reproduction. Excess NE overactivates and desensitizes β‐adrenergic receptors (β‐ARs), triggering Sertoli cell ferroptosis and disrupting spermatogenesis.

Building the mammalian testis: origins, differentiation, and assembly of the component cell populations

open access: yesGenes & Development, 2013
Testis development in the mammalian embryo requires the formation and assembly of several cell types that allow these organs to achieve their roles in male reproduction and endocrine regulation.
