Ontogenetic development and redescription of Eotetranychus kankitus (Acariformes: Tetranychidae)

Zootaxa, 2018
Eotetranychus kankitus Ehara, 1955 is redescribed from females, males, deutonymphs, protonymphs and larvae collected on Citrus reticulata Blanco (Rutaceae) from China. The ontogenetic changes in leg chaetotaxy are provided and compared with the similar species Eotetranychus tiliarium (Hermann, 1804) and the considerably hypotrichous species ...

Sublethal effects of spirodiclofen on the demographic parameters of Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection, 2019
The two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch is one of the most common pests of agricultural crops. The use of sublethal doses can reduce the need of pesticides and prevent pests’ resistance, which is an important step in integrated pest ...

Zootaxa, 2009
This paper reports 18 tetranychid mite species (Acari: Tetranychidae) from various plant hosts in Kenya. Four species of these belong to the subfamily Bryobiinae and the other 14 belong to the subfamily Tetranychinae. Eight of the mite species identified belong to the genera Bryobia, Petrobia, Peltanobia, Paraplonobia, Duplanychus, Eutetranychus and ...

Population Dynamics of Tetranychus Kanzawai (Acari: Tetranychidae) on Hydrangea

Experimental & Applied Acarology, 2000
The seasonal occurrence of Tetranychus kanzawai Kishida populations on hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla) was studied at two different localities in Ibaraki, Japan, during a three-year period. There were two types of seasonal population trends: one with a population peak from May to June, and the other with the spring peak in June and the autumn peak in

The carotenoid pigments of Schizonobia sycophanta Womersley (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1974
Abstract 1. 1. Nine carotenoids were isolated and identified from the spider mite Schizonobia sycophanta . 2. 2. Besides the unaltered plant carotenoids β-carotene, lutein, lutein-5,6-epoxide, violaxanthin and neoxanthin, all taken in with the food, the mites contained the keto-carotenoids echinenone, 3-hydroxy-4-keto-β-carotene, 3-hydroxy-4,

2019
The species diversity and some features of ecology of tetranychid mites of the Black Sea Biosphere Reserve were investigated. As a total, 20 species and 11 genera of spider mites were found on the 58 green plantings. Some features of distribution and trophic specialization of tetranychid mites were established in this reserve.
