A survey of chromosome complements in the Tetranychidae

International Journal of Acarology, 1981
Abstract The chromosome numbers have been assessed for 31 bisexual species of 14 different genera of the Tetranychidae, bringing the total of karyotyped species in this family to 109. The taxonomic significance of karyotype information is discussed. A haploid number of n=5 occurs in Neotrichobia arizonensis, Eotetranychus fremonti and E. gambelii; of n=

Endophytic entomopathogenic fungi enhance the growth of Phaseolus vulgaris L. (Fabaceae) and negatively affect the development and reproduction of Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae).

Microbial Pathogenesis, 2018
Entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) have primarily been applied as an inundative approach to manage pests. However, in recent decade multifunctional role of EPF have been documented which provide multiple benefits to host plants when colonized as an endophyte ...

Encapsulation of Satureja hortensis L. (Lamiaceae) in chitosan/TPP nanoparticles with enhanced acaricide activity against Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae).

Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2018
The objective of this study was the fabrication of encapsulated Satureja hortensis essential oil (S.EO) in chitosan/tripolyphosphate nanoparticles (CS/TPP-NPs) via ionic gelation technique and investigation of its acaricidal effect.

Ontogenetic development and redescription of Tribolonychus collyerae (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Zootaxa, 2013
Tribolonychus collyerae Zhang & Martin is redescribed based on the larva, protonymph, deutonymph and adult male and female specimens from New Zealand. The ontogenetic development of chaetotaxy in Tribolonychus and the number and position of solenidia on tibia I are discussed.

Characterization of abamectin resistance in Iranian populations of European red mite, Panonychus ulmi Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae)

Crop Protection, 2019
The European red mite, Panonychus ulmi Koch is one of the most important pests in apple orchards and was introduced to Iran by apple seedlings from Europe. The insecticide/acaricide abamectin for example has been used extensively against P. ulmi and some

Life table and predation rate of Amblyseius swirskii (Acari: Phytoseiidae) fed on Eotetranychus frosti (Tetranychidae) and Cenopalpus irani (Tenuipalpidae)

Systematic and Applied Acarology, 2018
The life history and predation rate of Amblyseius swirskii Athias-Henriot feeding on Eotetranychus frosti (McGregor) (Tetranychidae) or Cenopalpus irani Dosse (Tenuipalpidae) were determined at 25±1°C, with 16:8 h L: D, at an average daily relative air ...
