Symmetric quadratic tetration interpolation using forward and backward operation combination
The existed interpolation method, based on the second-order tetration polynomial, has the asymmetric property. The interpolation results, for each considering region, give individual characteristics. Although the interpolation performance has been better than the conventional methods, the symmetric property for signal interpolation is also necessary ...

Fractional Mathematical Operators and Their Computational Approximation
Usual applied mathematics employs three fundamental arithmetical operators: addition, multiplication, and exponentiation. However, for example, transcendental numbers are said not to be attainable via algebraic combination with these fundamental operators.

Topological Order in an Antiferomagnetic Tetratic
We study lattice melting in two dimensional antiferromagnets. We argue that, for strong enough magnetic interactions, single lattice dislocations are prohibitive due to magnetic frustration. This leads to a melting scenario in which a tetratic phase, composed of free dislocation pairs and bound disclinations, separates the solid from the liquid phases.

Demixing and tetratic ordering in some binary mixtures of hard superellipses [PDF]
We examine the fluid phase behavior of binary mixtures of hard superellipses using the scaled particle theory. The superellipse is a general two-dimensional convex object that can be tuned between the elliptical and rectangular shapes continuously at a given aspect ratio.

Theory and simulation of two-dimensional nematic and tetratic phases [PDF]
Recent experiments and simulations have shown that two-dimensional systems can form tetratic phases with four-fold rotational symmetry, even if they are composed of particles with only two-fold symmetry. To understand this effect, we propose a model for the statistical mechanics of particles with almost four-fold symmetry, which is weakly broken down ...

Tetratic order in the phase behavior of a hard-rectangle system [PDF]
Previous Monte Carlo investigations by Wojciechowski \emph{et al.} have found two unusual phases in two-dimensional systems of anisotropic hard particles: a tetratic phase of four-fold symmetry for hard squares [Comp. Methods in Science and Tech., 10: 235-255, 2004], and a nonperiodic degenerate solid phase for hard-disk dimers [Phys. Rev.
