Tetrazoles: LIII. Microwave-activated acylation of 5-substituted tetrazoles
Russian Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2008The acylation of 5-aryl(hetaryl)tetrazoles with acetic and benzoic anhydrides under microwave irradiation gave the corresponding 2-substituted 5-methyl-and 5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles in high yields. The use of microwave activation reduces the reaction temperature by 30–40°C and shortens the reaction time by a factor of 5 to 7.

Enantioselective Denitrogenative Annulation of 1H-Tetrazoles with Styrenes Catalyzed by Rhodium.
Angewandte Chemie, 2018Sulfonylation of 1H-tetrazoles with triflic anhydride in the presence of chiral rhodium(II) carboxylate dimers causes denitrogenation to generate α-azo rhodium(II) carbenoid species as new types of donor/acceptor carbenoids, which then readily react with

Tetrazoles. 33. New method for obtaining functionally substituted tetrazoles
Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1997The interaction of 5-methylsulfonyl-1-phenyltetrazole with C-, N-, and O-nucleophiles at 18–20°C gives high yields of 1-phenyltetrazoles that are functionally substituted on the carbon atom of the heteroring. Prospects are examined for the use of 5-methylsulfonyl-1-phenyltetrazole as a universal synthon in the synthesis of tetrazoles with various types

4 Medicinal Chemistry of Tetrazoles
1980Publisher Summary Tetrazole itself exhibits no pharmacological activity; however, many of its derivatives possess interesting biological actions. The tetrazole function is metabolically stable and this feature and a close similarity between the acidic character of the tetrazole group and the carboxylic group have inspired syntheses of potential ...

Thermal decomposition of sodium tetrazolate monohydrate and its mixture with tetrazole
Thermochimica Acta, 1991Abstract The thermal decomposition of sodium tetrazolate monohydrate and its mixture with tetrazole (64% tetrazole) was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and complex thermal analysis at different heating rates. It was found that the exothermal single-stage decomposition of sodium tetrazolate proceeding at a high rate within the range ...

Thermal decomposition of tetrazole
Thermochimica Acta, 1990Abstract This article elucidates the kinetic scheme of the process of tetrazole thermolysis and ascertains the results of the kinetic investigations described in Part I (Thermochim. Acta, 145 (1989) 195). Based on the processing of a series of DSC curves, an overall scheme for tetrazole thermolysis is proposed which represents two parallel processes,
