Tetrazolium Salt as a Seed Germination Indicator [PDF]
A preliminary assessment of 2:3:5‐triphenyl tetrazolium chloride as a seed germination indicator has been made by testing wheat, barley, oats, peas and vetches. Results as reliable as actual germination tests have been obtained, and the optimum conditions for testing have been determined.

Serum albumin leads to false-positive results in the XTT and the MTT assay
Tetrazolium salts like 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) or sodium 2,3-bis-(2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide (XTT) that form formazans after reduction are widely used to investigate cell

Optimization of the Dose Rate Effect in Tetrazolium Gellan Gel Dosimeters
Tetrazolium salts provide an appealing candidate for 3D gel dosimeters as they exhibit a low intrinsic color, no signal diffusion and excellent chemical stability. However, a previously developed commercial product (the ClearView 3D Dosimeter) based on a

Mutations in UDP-Glucose:Sterol Glucosyltransferase in Arabidopsis Cause Transparent Testa Phenotype and Suberization Defect in Seeds [PDF]
In higher plants, the most abundant sterol derivatives are steryl glycosides (SGs) and acyl SGs. Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) contains two genes, UGT80A2 and UGT80B1, that encode UDP-Glc:sterol glycosyltransferases, enzymes that catalyze the ...
