On the use of the l(2)-norm for texture analysis of polarimetric SAR data [PDF]
In this paper, the use of the l2-norm, or Span, of the scattering vectors is suggested for texture analysis of polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, with the benefits that we need neither an analysis of the polarimetric channels separately ...

Texture analysis for glaucoma classification [PDF]
In this paper, we present our ongoing work on glaucoma classification using fundus images. The approach makes use of texture analysis based on Binary Robust Independent Elementary Features (BRIEF). This texture measurement is chosen because it can address the illumination issues of the retinal images and has a lower degree of computational complexity ...

Assessing Altered Coating Adhesion on Plasma‐Deoxidized Surfaces Under Oxygen‐Free Conditions
This study demonstrates the effectiveness of atmospheric pressure plasma pretreatment in modifying silicon and stainless steel surfaces to improve adhesion. Argon‐hydrogen plasma increases surface roughness and improves adhesion strength, whereas pure argon results in smoother surfaces and structural changes.

Head Tracking via Robust Registration in Texture Map Images [PDF]
A novel method for 3D head tracking in the presence of large head rotations and facial expression changes is described. Tracking is formulated in terms of color image registration in the texture map of a 3D surface model.
