Morphological granulometry for classification of evolving and ordered texture images.

open access: yes, 2011
In this work we investigate the use of morphological granulometric moments as texture descriptors to predict time or class of texture images which evolve over time or follow an intrinsic ordering of textures.

Evaluation of Plasticity and Creep Parameters From Tensile Stress–Strain Data for a Range of Strain Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This plot compares experimental tensile stress–strain curves (with 4 different strain rates) and corresponding modelled curves (obtained using the optimised sets of Voce and Miller–Norton parameter values shown). The inferred M‐N values, characterizing the creep, are very similar to those obtained via conventional creep testing.

Texture Segmentation using LBP embedded Region Competition

open access: yesELCVIA Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image Analysis, 2005
In this paper, we modify the region competition method to segment textures. First, local Binary pattern (LBP) histogram is adopted to capture the texture information.

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

An unambiguous expression method of the surface texture

open access: yes, 2010
The current specification and verification of surface texture in international standards are considered to be too theoretical, complex and over-elaborate for industry.

ARFBF MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS - APPLICATION TO THE DISCRIMINATION OF CATALYST ACTIVE PHASES

open access: yesImage Analysis and Stereology, 2018
This paper addresses the characterization of spatial arrangements of fringes in catalysts imaged by High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM). It presents a statistical model-based approach for analyzing these fringes.
