Encephalopathy: Cause, Pathogenesis, and Treatment
MedComm, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.Various encephalopathies (sepsis‐associated, hepatic, hypoxic–ischemic, diabetic, uremic, toxic) have incompletely elucidated pathogenesis, which severely restricts targeted therapy development. Small molecule drugs show unique multitarget potential but face toxicity, poor blood–brain barrier penetration and unclear specificity.
