Robustness and Performance Analysis of a Current‐Controlled Quasi‐Stationary Electrical Model Virtual Synchronous Machine Using a Parameter‐Dependent Operating Point

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper analyzes the robustness of a current‐controlled quasi‐stationary electrical model virtual synchronous machine. Fundamental limitations of structured singular value‐based stability analysis are revealed for nonlinear converter‐dominated power systems when parametric uncertainties significantly affect the operating point.

Oxygen delivery and consumption in aging skeletal muscle: Insights from an electric analogy model of PO2 transients

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, January 2026.
Abstract Mathematical models are essential for understanding oxygen transport and utilization during metabolic transitions. An electrical analogy concept proposed that exponential PO2 transients arise from interaction between oxygen storage capacitance and transport conductances, but lacked explicit circuit representation limiting quantitative ...

Towards a TCT-inspired electronics concept inventory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This study reports on the initial work on the use of Threshold Concept Theory (TCT) to develop a threshold-concept inventory – a catalogue of the important concepts that underlie electronics and electrical engineering (EE) – and an assessment tool – to ...

Decoupled voltage sensitivity analysis for cluster-oriented smart grid operations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The power systems of today use “smart grids” to improve grid operations and energy efficiency. State-of-the-art technologies and advanced control mechanisms have meant the renewable energy sources (RESs) can now be increasingly integrated into power ...

An Improved Equivalent Circuit for Electric Field Sensors in Geophysical Exploration

open access: yesGeophysical Prospecting, Volume 73, Issue 8, October 2025.
ABSTRACT In electromagnetic measurements, electric field sensors consist of two halves, with remote electrodes of negative and positive polarity coupled through wires and low pass filters to the differential inputs of an analogue‐to‐digital converter; the electrical ground of the analogue‐to‐digital converter is connected to the ground through a ...

Energy-Efficient Amplifiers Based on Quasi-Floating Gate Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Energy efficiency is a key requirement in the design of amplifiers for modern wireless applications. The use of quasi-floating gate (QFG) transistors is a very convenient approach to achieve such energy efficiency.

Edge of Chaos Theory Unveils the First and Simplest Ever Reported Hodgkin–Huxley Neuristor

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 8, June 2025.
This manuscript presents the first and simplest ever‐reported electrical cell, which leverages one memristor on Edge of Chaos to reproduce the three‐bifurcation cascade, marking the entire life cycle from birth to extinction via All‐to‐None effect of an electrical spike, also referred to as Action Potential, across axon membranes under monotonic ...

An electronics Threshold-Concept Inventory: Assessment in the face of the dependency of concepts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The Theory of Threshold Concepts (TCs), first articulated by Land and Meyer in 2003, provides educators in many disciplines with a tool to identify those special ideas that both define the characteristic ways of thinking of expert practitioners, and ...

Short‐Dipole Sensor Response Linearization Through Physics‐Informed Neural Networks

open access: yesBioelectromagnetics, Volume 46, Issue 4, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Short‐dipole diode sensors loaded with highly resistive lines are commonly used to measure the time‐averaged square of the high‐frequency electromagnetic field amplitude directly. Their precision, simplicity, broadband, high dynamic range capability, and minimal scattering make them ideal for application in the near‐field of sources ...

Allocation of transmission losses to determine tariff [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The recent widespread restructuring and unbundling of the electricity industry has introduced some changes in the organization of the sector, thereby creating a more competitive environment in which each participant must bear its own cost and be ...
