Proteomic study on the lymphocytes from pregnant Wistar rat females treated with immunosuppressive regimen

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 16, Issue 1, Page 118-127, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Kidney transplantation remains the therapeutic option for patients with end‐stage kidney disease. Current immunosuppressive regimens are efficient in combating acute kidney rejection. However, insights into chronic kidney allograft injury remains limited.

Simulating the Dynamics of T Cell Subsets Throughout the Lifetime [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
It is widely accepted that the immune system undergoes age-related changes correlating with increased disease in the elderly. T cell subsets have been implicated. The aim of this work is firstly to implement and validate a simulation of T regulatory cell (Treg) dynamics throughout the lifetime, based on a model by Baltcheva.

Differential and Temporal Immunomodulation of alpha4 Integrins on CD4+ Memory Cells by Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella parapertussis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Pertussis, caused by Bordetella pertussis (B. pertussis), is reemerging worldwide due to vaccine inefficacy. The hallmarks of infection are extreme lymphocytosis and delayed recovery, which are partially associated with pertussis toxin.

Skin microbiome engineering: Challenges and opportunities in skin diseases treatment

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
The skin microbiome plays a crucial role in skin health, influencing barrier integrity, immune responses, and disease susceptibility. Various interventions can reshape the microbiome, broadly categorized into targeted and untargeted approaches. Targeted strategies, such as phage therapy, engineered bacteria, and phage lysins, selectively modulate ...

First‐in‐human study of deucravacitinib: A selective, potent, allosteric small‐molecule inhibitor of tyrosine kinase 2

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 16, Issue 1, Page 151-164, January 2023., 2023
Abstract This randomized, double‐blind, single‐ and multiple‐ascending dose study assessed the pharmacokinetics (PKs), pharmacodynamics, and safety of deucravacitinib (Sotyktu™), a selective and potent small‐molecule inhibitor of tyrosine kinase 2, in 100 (75 active, 25 placebo) healthy volunteers (NCT02534636).

Numerical Investigation of Graph Spectra and Information Interpretability of Eigenvalues [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We undertake an extensive numerical investigation of the graph spectra of thousands regular graphs, a set of random Erd\"os-R\'enyi graphs, the two most popular types of complex networks and an evolving genetic network by using novel conceptual and experimental tools.

Butyrate alleviates food allergy by improving intestinal barrier integrity through suppressing oxidative stress‐mediated Notch signaling

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Compared to healthy controls, children with food‐sensitized tolerance and food allergy showed reduced fecal short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs), particularly butyrate. In an ovalbumin‐sensitized mouse model, butyrate outperformed other SCFAs in alleviating allergic responses.
