Environmental impact of thallium related to the mercury-thallium-gold mineralization in southwest Guizhou Province, China

open access: yes, 2001
Les métaux toxiques associés à la minéralisation et à l'exploitation minière sont des cibles de choix pour les études environnementales. Le thallium, pourtant un métal toxique par excellence, n'a pas retenu beaucoup d'attention à cet effet, sans doute à ...

Electric‐Current‐Induced Phase Transformation in Cu6Sn5 Below Its Equilibrium Transition Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electric current induces a monoclinic‐to‐hexagonal phase transformation in Cu6Sn5 at a measured bulk temperature of ∼120°C, below the equilibrium transition temperature. Ex situ synchrotron x‐ray diffraction, TEM, and matched thermal controls show that current stressing promotes the formation of a retained hexagonal η‐phase post‐stress state not ...

Kinetics of Decomposition in Alkaline Media NaOH and Ca(OH)2 of Thallium Jarosite

open access: yesChemEngineering
Thallium is one of the most toxic elements on the planet, and one alternative method for its precipitation is through jarosite-type compounds. Therefore, in this work, the kinetics of thallium jarosite were evaluated in an alkaline medium (NaOH and Ca(OH)

Genetic Code Expanded T Cell for Controllable Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our GCE‐CAR‐T cells enables tight, dose‐dependent, and function‐preserving control of CAR expression at the translational level through amber codon suppression and genetic incorporation of ncAA. ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)‐T cell therapy has demonstrated curative potential against hematologic malignancies, but its clinical application ...

Examining of Thallium in Cigarette Smokers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Smoking is one of the sources of thallium which is considered as a toxic heavy metal. The aim of this study was to determine urinary thallium levels and related variables in smokers, compared to a control group. The study was conducted on 56 participants

Reactions of porphyrins with thallium(III) trifluoroacetate

open access: yes, 1971
Treatment of porphyrins with thallium trifluoroacetate gives thallium(III) porphyrin chelates and, in the presence of trifluoracetic acid gives further products by oxidation at the porphyrin meso ...

STAID: A Self‐Refining Deep Learning Framework for Spatial Cell‐Type Deconvolution with Biologically Informed Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STAID is a unified deep learning framework that couples iterative pseudo‐spot refinement with neural network training through a feedback loop and exploits gene co‐expression information to model higher‐order interactions, achieving accurate and robust cell‐type deconvolution in spatial transcriptomics.

Thallium

open access: yes, 2014
Thallium (Tl) is widely distributed in the natural environment although at very low concentrations. It mainly occurs in the oxidation state Tl (I), whilst Tl (III) increases under acid and oxidizing conditions. Geochemical behaviour of Tl is analogous to

DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM Analyses Implicate the Critical Role of RNA Structural Dynamics in Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Pathogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

[Thallium-induced alopecia].

open access: yes, 1989
A case of accidental Thallium intoxication showing, as the only sign, alopecia of the scalp with depigmentation of the hair, is described. A 21 year old woman developed acute loss of hair after ingestion of contaminate tomatoes.
