Oxygen on Cu(100) – a case of an adsorbate induced reconstruction

Magnetic Susceptibility of Oxygen Adsorbed on Graphite

The susceptibility of oxygen adsorbed on graphite indicates that magnetic transitions are present even in films of submonolayer thickness. This result contrasts with previous work on amorphous oxygen films and strongly supports the supposition that antiferromagnetic order can only be present simultaneously with configurational order.

Oxygen exchange between NO gas and adsorbed atomic oxygen on Pt(335)

Abstract We have used temperature-programmed desorption with isotopically labeled gases to study O exchange between gas phase NO and adsorbed atomic O on Pt(335). We find two distinct types of adsorbed O, one of which exchanges at least 40 times faster than the other, at room temperature.

Studies of molecular oxygen adsorbed on Cu surfaces

Molecular oxygen adsorbed on (110) and polycrystalline Cu surfaces has been investigated by UPS, XPS, AES, HREELS and LEED.
