Analysis of impulse response characteristics of polymer ultrasonic transducers
NDT & E International, 1988The impulse response characteristics of polymer ultrasonic transducers were analyzed using the Mason's equivalent circuit. These characteristics strongly depend on material factors of the piezoelectric polymer: the dielectric and mechanical internal loss factors, the electromechanical coupling factor and the acoustic impedance.

This problem was analyzed on the basis of two new approaches. The first approach is a newly developed measurement system, consisting of two accelerometers for walking analysis. This paper presents the results of a new methodology for calculating the lightning response of the basic component of any grounding system, the grounding electrode.
