Journal of Optics, 1981Deals with a new optical technique which analyses the amplitude transfer function of optical frequencies passing through fibers and modulus and phase of the associated time impulse response. The dispersion of a short monomode fiber was measured around lambda =5900 AA with 0.03 ps time resolution.

Wavelet-Based Sensitivity Analysis of the Impulse Response Function for Damage Detection
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 2006This paper discusses the extraction of the wavelet-based impulse response function from the acceleration response using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The analytical formulation of the sensitivity of the DWT coefficient of the impulse response function with respect to a system parameter is then presented for structural damage detection.

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2006The impulse response is divided into approximation and detail components by the multiresolution analysis. The correlations between the early sound and reflected sounds are estimated respectively for the impulse response and the approximate signal. The approximate signal was calculated as a function of level of the multiresolution analysis.
