Makna Hidup (Meaning in Life) pada Wanita yang Terdiagnosa Positif HIV di Masa Kehamilan

open access: yesGuidena
The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that targets the human immune system. Pregnancy accompanied by HIV carries the risk of transmission from the mother to the infant, both during gestation, during the birthing process, and through ...

Turing Test, Chinese Room Argument, Symbol Grounding Problem. Meanings in Artificial Agents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The Turing Test (TT), the Chinese Room Argument (CRA), and the Symbol Grounding Problem (SGP) are about the question “can machines think?”. We propose to look at that question through the capability for Artificial Agents (AAs) to generate meaningful ...

Moonshine and the Meaning of Life [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
With a jocund air, we present an observation on the first 24 coefficients of the modular invariant and of the modular discriminant. The observation is purely for the sake of entertainment and could be of some diversion to a mathematical audience.Comment:

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The Comparative Study of the Relation between Death and Dmmortality and the Meaning of Life in Tolstoy and Molla Sadra [PDF]

open access: yesحکمت صدرایی, 2017
The problem of the relation between death and immortality on the meaning of life in the authorities of thinkers such as Tolstoy and Mulla Sadra has been considered as one of the fundamental issues. Once Tolstoy felt absurdity, decided to find a solution.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Transculturalism and the Meaning of Life

open access: yesHumanities, 2016
I begin by introducing the standoff between the transculturalist aim of moving beyond cultural inheritances, and the worry that this project is itself a product of cultural inheritances.

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.
