Introduction Thelohanellus hovorkai Akhmerov, 1960 is a non-native myxosporean parasite that was originally described in Cyprinus carpio haematopterus in eastern Russia. Today it is widely distributed among European fish farms. Material and Methods This study describes two cases of thelohanellosis caused by T. hovorkai in farmed common carp in Croatia.

Thelohanellus (Myxozoa: Myxosporea: Bivalvulida) infections in major carp fish from Punjab wetlands (India)
