Behavioral factors associated with medication adherence among hypertensive patients using the theoretical domains framework. [PDF]

open access: yesExplor Res Clin Soc Pharm
Theoretical exploration of the behavioral factors associated with adherence to medication in hypertensive patients has been limited in previous studies. This study aims to understand the associations between demographic and health characteristics and behavioral factors for medication taking, and how these predict medication adherence.A cross-sectional ...

Oncology Clinicians’ Challenges to Providing Palliative Cancer Care—A Theoretical Domains Framework, Pan-Cancer System Survey

open access: yesCurrent Oncology, 2021
Despite the known benefits, healthcare systems struggle to provide early, integrated palliative care (PC) for advanced cancer patients. Understanding the barriers to providing PC from the perspective of oncology clinicians is an important first step in ...

Facilitators and Barriers to Nurses Screening for Frailty in Acute Care in a Provincial Health-Care System: a Survey Study Guided by the Theoretical Domains Framework

open access: yesCanadian Geriatrics Journal, 2023
Background Older adults living with frailty represent the largest population of hospitalized patients in Canada, but they do not always receive the quality of care needed. Nurses are well-positioned to screen for frailty, but current frailty screening

Domain Hierarchies: A Basic Theoretical Framework for Integrating Software Domains [PDF]

open access: yes2009 Third IEEE International Symposium on Theoretical Aspects of Software Engineering, 2009
We present a new approach to executable modeling that borrows from executable UML the notion of domains and bridges and couches them in a formal abstract framework based on the novel concept of a domain hierarchy. The framework is independent of the language used for representing structure and behavior of domains and bridges.

A domain-theoretic framework for robustness analysis of neural networks

open access: yesMathematical Structures in Computer Science, 2023
AbstractA domain-theoretic framework is presented for validated robustness analysis of neural networks. First, global robustness of a general class of networks is analyzed. Then, using the fact that Edalat’s domain-theoreticL-derivative coincides with Clarke’s generalized gradient, the framework is extended for attack-agnostic local robustness analysis.

Using behavioral theory and shared decision-making to understand clinical trial recruitment: interviews with trial recruiters

open access: yesTrials, 2021
Background Clinical trial recruitment is a continuing challenge for medical researchers. Previous efforts to improve study recruitment have rarely been informed by theories of human decision making and behavior change.

Barriers and facilitators affecting implementation of the Canadian clinical practice guidelines for the diagnosis of acute aortic syndrome

open access: yesImplementation Science Communications, 2021
Background Acute aortic syndrome (AAS) is an uncommon, life-threatening emergency that is frequently misdiagnosed. The 2020 Canadian clinical practice guidelines for the diagnosis of AAS incorporate all available evidence into four key recommendations ...

Mapping the Theoretical Domain Framework to the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research: do multiple frameworks add value?

open access: yesImplementation Science Communications, 2023
Abstract Background Implementation researchers often combine the Theoretical Domain Framework (TDF) and Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) in their studies. However there is some debate on the merits of using multiple frameworks—whether they contribute to results or provide superfluous analysis ...

Investigating clinicians' determinants of antimicrobial prescribing behaviour using the Theoretical Domains Framework

open access: yesJournal of Hospital Infection, 2022
To identify and quantify potential determinants of antimicrobial prescribing behaviour, using the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF).A cross-sectional survey involving doctors (∼4000) and pharmacists (∼400) working within Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar.
