Unethical consumers: Deshopping behaviour using the qualitative analysis of theory of planned behaviour and accompanied (de)shopping

open access: yes, 2006
Purpose Previous research indicates that deshopping is a prevalent and growing consumer behaviour. This paper examines deshopping from a consumer perspective, and applies the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) to demonstrate how this behaviour can be ...

Social factors influencing waste separation behaviour among the multi-class residents in a megacity: A Survey analysis from a community in Bangkok, Thailand

open access: yesSustainable Futures
Effective waste separation at the source is vital for sustainable waste management globally. However, motivating people to participate in waste separation can be challenging, especially in developing countries' megacities, where rapid urbanization and ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The theory of planned behaviour, self-identity, and moral disengagement: what predicts sustainability at work? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Objectives: On the occasion of the Green Impact sustainability initiative at our university, we sought to identify predictors of sustainability-related behaviours (recycling, energy saving and sustainable transport choices) among staff.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

The theory of planned behaviour: Self-identity, social identity and group norms

open access: yes, 1999
The aim of the present study was to examine further the role that self-identity plays in the theory of planned behaviour and, more specifically, to: (1) examine the combined effects of self-identity and social identity constructs on intention and ...

The effect of an educational intervention in prevention of drug abuse in students

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adolescence and Youth
The present study is a quasi-experimental intervention research conducted on 300 adolescent boys aged 14–19 in Jahrom city, Iran, in 2022. Data collection tools included a demographic information questionnaire, a knowledge questionnaire, and constructs ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Utility of the theory of planned behaviour for predicating needle sharing among injection drug users

open access: yes, 2016
This study examined the predictive ability of theory of planned behaviour (TPB) regarding intention to share needles among injection drug users (IDUs). The data were derived from 109 IDUs in Montreal, Canada, and collected by means of self-administered ...
