From Theory to Intervention: Mapping Theoretically Derived Behavioural Determinants to Behaviour Change Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Theory provides a helpful basis for designing interventions to change behaviour but offers little guidance on how to do this. This paper aims to illustrate methods for developing an extensive list of behaviour change techniques (with definitions) and for

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

The determinants of consumers’ intention of purchasing green hotel accommodation: Extending the theory of planned behaviour

open access: yes, 2020
Prior research has attempted to gain a better understanding of consumers' formation of purchase decisions to patronise green hotels, thus addressing the need to provide practical relevance to hotel operators; however, results have been inconclusive. This

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Understanding farmers’ uptake of organic farming: An application of the theory of planned behaviour

open access: yes
Whilst the adoption of agricultural techniques has received considerable attention in the literature, the ability and willingness of potential adopters to change their current farming system is often overlooked. This paper is concerned with the intention

Clinical and psychosocial predictors of attendance and drug use in heroin users undergoing treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the Theory of Planned Behaviour's ability to identify predictors of intention and behaviour. The population of interest are heroin users; the behaviours are attendance at treatment services and heroin use during

The theory of planned behaviour applied to young people's use of social networking websites

open access: yes, 2009
Despite the increasing popularity of social networking websites (SNWs), very little is known about the psychosocial variables which predict people’s use of these websites. The present study used an extended model of the theory of planned behaviour (TPB),
