Thermal design of focal plane assembly of space-based Solar Extreme Ultraviolet imager

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The Solar Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUVI) is a space-based instrument designed to observe solar activities. To meet the stringent low-temperature imaging requirements of its focal plane assembly (FPA) in the complex space environment, this study ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Modeling and Integrated Optimization of Power Split and Exhaust Thermal Management on Diesel Hybrid Electric Vehicles

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
To simultaneously achieve high fuel efficiency and low emissions in a diesel hybrid electric vehicle (DHEV), it is necessary to optimize not only power split but also exhaust thermal management for emission aftertreatment systems.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Development of Deployable Reflector Antenna for the SAR-Satellite, Part 3: Environmental Test of Structural-Thermal Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The concept of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has the advantage of being able to obtain high-quality images even when the target area is at night or covered with obstacles such as clouds or fog.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
