ポリヘキサメチレンアジパミドに含まれるオリゴアミドの熱酸化における挙動について研究した。エタノールによりオリゴアミドを抽出除去したポリアミド試料と抽出前の試料の熱酸化における分子量の変化を比較した結果, 低分子量のオリゴマーは分子量低下の原因とはなっていないことがわかった。さらに種々の環状オリゴアミド, 直鎖状ナリゴアミドおよびオリゴアミド混合物の熱酸化について検討し, ポリヘキサメチレンアジパミドと比較した。また熱酸化において紫外部290mμに顕著な特性吸収を示すオリゴアミド混合物 (mp254~256℃) が, ポリヘキサメチレンアジパミドから抽出分離された。
