Power Flow Calculation and Conductor Temperature Change Process Analysis of Single-Line Direct Supply Traction Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The accuracy of the power flow calculation results of a traction network is closely related to the impedance parameters of the transmission wires of the network, and such parameters change dynamically under the influence of current and geographical and ...

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Research on Seismic Test and Calculation Model for Improving Factor of Composite Board with Heat Preservation Function

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2021
Since the composition and stress state of thermal-insulation composite plates are extremely complex, it is difficult to conduct calculation using conventional methods. Further calculation on its composition structure is even more difficult.

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Development of an adaptive window-opening algorithm to predict the thermal comfort, energy use and overheating in buildings

open access: yes, 2008
This investigation of the window opening data from extensive field surveys in UK office buildings demonstrates: 1) how people control the indoor environment by opening windows; 2) the cooling potential of opening windows; and 3) the use of an ‘adaptive ...

Effects of Strong Adsorption Pre-dehydration on Dehydration Energy Consumption of Montmorillonite Organic Gel

open access: yesKuangchan zonghe liyong
This is an article in the field of ceramics and composites. Montmorillonite organic gel is a thixotropic gel, which is usually produced by wet process. It needs to be spray drying to obtain gel products.

Calculation of thermal diffuse scattering [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica B: Condensed Matter, 1997
The authors developed a computer program to calculate the thermal diffuse scattering (TDS) intensity distribution for single crystal specimens in a diffractometer with no energy analysis. They assumed that the phonon frequencies are approximated by those of elastic waves and that the elastic constants, density and lattice parameters of the system under

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

A thermal lattice Boltzmann model for micro/nano-flows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The dynamic behavior of charged micro and nanofluids plays a crucial role in a large variety of industrial and biological processes. Such dynamic behavior is characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of several competing mechanisms, such as ...
