Thermal contact resistance in thermophysical measurements
Journal of Engineering Physics, 1982The author describes the basis for an experimental correction to the thermal contact resistance (TCR) in investigation of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of solids, using specimens in the form of plates. Relations are obtained for thermal deformation of specimens and the contact pressure to compensate for thermal deflection.

Journal of Applied Physics, 2008We investigate the effects of nanosized contact spots on the thermal contact resistance (TCR) in multiscale contacts. As the contact size decreases below the phonon mean free path, the thermal conductivity varies with the size of the contact and is not the same as its bulk counterpart.
