Formation and evolution of multiple-core structures in laser-sustained plasmas

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2023
We report on the formation of multiple-core structures in laser-sustained plasmas (LSPs) through the utilization of an improved two-dimensional laser-thermal-hydrodynamically coupled fluid model. Our findings reveal that steady-state LSPs exhibit various

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Study on the influence of liquid nitrogen injection cooling in gob on the thermal physical characteristics of coal spontaneous combustion

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan
In order to study the effect of liquid nitrogen injection cooling on spontaneous combustion of coal, coal samples from the second and third panel areas of Tingnan Coal Mine were selected for thermal and physical property experiments.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Tridimensional multiphysics model for the study of photo-induced thermal effects in arbitrary nano-structures [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2011
In the present paper, we detail the implementation of a numerical scheme based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) dedicated to a tri-dimensional investigation of photo-induced thermal effects in arbitrary nano-structures. The distribution of Joule losses

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Thermal properties of vesicular rhyolite [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Thermal diffusivity of rhyolite melt and rhyolite foam (70–80% porosity) has been measured using the radial heat transfer method. Cylindrical samples (length 50–55 mm, diameter 22 mm) of rhyolite melt and foam have been derived by heating samples of ...

Thermal Diffusion and Diffusion Thermo Effects on Axi-Symmetric Boundary Layer Flow of Nanofluid Due to Non-Linear Stretching Sheet along the Radial Direction in presence of Magnetic field

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering
This work presents the results of numerical research that was conducted on the flow of axisymmetric nanofluids through a nonlinearly stretched sheet in the radial direction while a magnetic field influence was present.
