ERRORS IN THERMAL IMAGERS TEMPERATURE RESOLUTION DETERMINING

open access: yesВестник Киевского политехнического института. Серия приборостроение, 2022
Thermal imaging methods of environmental observation are often accompanied by the need to quantify the temperature distribution on the object’s surfaces. In such cases, the accuracy of modeling the information conversion processes that occur in thermal imaging systems is essential.

Thermally induced error: Density limit for magnetic data storage [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2012
Magnetic data storage is pervasive in the preservation of digital information, and the rapid pace of computer development requires ever more capacity. Increasing the storage density for magnetic hard disk drives requires a reduced bit size, previously thought to be limited by the thermal stability of the constituent magnetic grains.

Thermal error modelling for linear motor feed drive system considering multi-field coupling of electromagnetic-thermal-flow

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2023
Thermal error is a crucial factor affecting the accuracy of linear motor feed drive systems (LMFDS). To improve the prediction accuracy, a thermal error model for LMFDS considering the multi-field coupling of electromagnetic-thermal-flow (EM-TF) is ...

Singular limit of an integrodifferential system related to the entropy balance

open access: yes, 2014
A thermodynamic model describing phase transitions with thermal memory, in terms of an entropy equation and a momentum balance for the microforces, is adressed. Convergence results and error estimates are proved for the related integrodifferential system

Improved tests of extra-dimensional physics and thermal quantum field theory from new Casimir force measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We report new constraints on extra-dimensional models and other physics beyond the Standard Model based on measurements of the Casimir force between two dissimilar metals for separations in the range 0.2--1.2 $\mu$m.

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

The Thermal Error Characteristic Analysis and Thermal Error Modeling Compensation of Aspheric Grinder

open access: yesMechanics
According to the literature analysis, the thermal error of CNC machine tools is the main factor affecting its processing accuracy, accounting for about 40% -70% ; This paper discusses the structure assembly of Aspherical Grinder, which is the research carrier of thermal error analysis of NC machine tool, and analyzes the characteristics and concrete ...

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.
